Hard descision to make..made part already...

Hey Paso: Is this therapist a licensed clinical psychologist? A man presenting with irritability should have been screened for the depression at the first appointment. If this is the case, the psychologist might be aware of the depression (or, not) and treating it accordingly as part of anger...

    Hit the (Treatment) Sweet Spot

Hi all: 150 mg: Crohn's spread to a new part of digestive system, developed 2 fistulas. 200 mg: Looked like mild dementia -- confused, forgetful, making mistakes left and right. 175 mg: Ahhhhh! Relief! It hasn't been very long, but things are really turning around. I would have been in...

    Tooth Problems and Crohns

Shamrock, had the gum graft last year. It was bearable with Tylenol with codeine (over the counter, so less potent than a T3), but far from pleasant. This coming year it looks like I get to experience a root canal. In a period of months one tooth has just about rotted itself out. I went in for...

    About me

Dear Kevin: I am so sorry that you are going through this. I cannot offer advice but I want to send some support. What an awful, awful situation. The one idea I have is that sometimes people who are not working can get assistance to take a college course or program; this might be something to do...

Can not stop myself from eating

Yes yes and yes. I am not allowed veg, period (except peeled potatoes, basically). Same for most fruits. And now I eat chocolate, candy, absolute garbage. I used to live on salad and homemade soup and was slim and fit. Now my skin is suffering from poor nutrition. I am slowly turning this...

    Hospital observations...

I am never, ever, ever going to stay in a hospital. Must have private washroom. With lock. And no you cannot touch me if you've already touched someone else. And people who are not staff are not allowed to talk to me. Better yet, I'm not allowed to hear them. /horrified :sign0085:

What has been your weight gain on Prednisone? Help - Scared!!!

Suschex, I'm so with you! IF the pred had worked, then fine, put up with side effects. But when it clearly did not help, the 20ish pound weight gain, huge cheeks, 3 months on blood pressure medication, and few months with numb arms and legs was Not Pleasant At All.

    Silvermoon's 2011 "-Ologist" Tour

Thanks heaps for the update, Silvermoon. Have you had a good weekend with your husband? We all KNEW that you're one of a kind (you didn't have to prove it like this!). Fingers crossed for good outcomes from the new round of treatment.

    One Month W/O Meds

Hi Jill: So sorry about a tough day today. That doesn't sound much like IBS to me, either (sure, our bodies are weird and wonderful, or maybe just weird, but diagnosis requires some sort of consistency between symptoms and attached label). Take good care.
