I get to start Prep on Wednesday!

I have complained aswell as witnessed others complain. He states that if you can tolerate it he recommends the Clean prep. He feels it works best. For people that really can not do it, I believe that he does give them something else. I trust him...and I can handle it, so I stuck with it. I...

I get to start Prep on Wednesday!

I pick up my Clean prep in a few hours...the volume is the hardest part, I would struggle to drink that much water. My doc said to mix the crystal light powder to help with the taste. I am going to try and down it as fast as I can. I always say that, but after the first gulp I am ready to puke!

    Leg Pains

Yes, now that you mention it I do get it in the arm at times. It's funny, you get so used to pain that it seems normal. Do you know the cause?

    Leg Pains

Hey All, I was wondering if anyone gets the odd leg pain, it feels like the bone. This usually happens when I have had a long day on my feet or walking for an extended period. Does anyone know what this is and how to help with the pain?

    Starting Adult Life Sick

Sorry to hear about all your obstacles. I had the same issues right out of high school, working mon-fri 6-9am then attending university classes the rest of the day, while trying to enjoy the social aspect of it all. Needless to say I didn't make it back after 1st semester. I think there is...

    Milk - is it evil?

Most adults lose the ability to digest milk. It is an enzyme present in infants due to the breast feeding need. An evolutionary process I guess. I try to steer clear from milk, and milk products. My baby cousin 7mnths was not growing and had bad skin rash, they discovered that he was...

    Hi

Welcome. I realize that this is a difficult situation to be in, especially for your daughter, however, it is great that they diagnosed it at such an early age. I was misdiagnosed and pegged as lactose intolerant. They didn't realize I had Crohn's until I was under the knife. I am glad your...

How Many Times Do You Excrete a Day?

Usually twice in the morning (me time) and once or twice the rest of the day depending on what I eat. During Thanksgiving I'll have to go mid meal and open shop there for the rest of the night. I find that when my mind is occupied I go less frequently...and when I'm bored I'll go more often...

    Weight changes when flaring

I'm in the same boat. I've gained about 10 pounds in the past 6-8 months, and I'm in a flare up. I've contributed it to pregnancy weight (my wife is due in Feb). Also, I'm been promoted to a new position that is less stressful. It's funny tho, because when I used to maintain my weight...

    New Research/Common Diarrhea

I tend to agree with crohnsproof. I believe my D is due to the Bile acid, because even when I was in remission if I didn't take the questran I would be running to the bathroom. i will try to supplement with the calcium carbonate...why not!

    Questran - anyone

I take 1 pack a day first thing in the morning with room temp. water and constantly stir. I don't mind it, I 've been doing it for years now, it is second nature to me. I just hate the idea of having to take it...however the alternative is not an option. I can't imagine you guys that need to...

    Azathioprine

I have been on Aza on and off for a few months now, never consistently because I would get a call from my doctor to stop because my White Blood count has dropped. I am on a 50mg/25mg alternating plan and all is good. I have never felt any side effects. Maybe because I take it before I go to...

    My Story :D

Welcome Lewis, When I was nervous or stressed I always felt that I have to go to the bathroom, plus I lose my appetite. I still do. I am getting good at controlling it, especially when I was young and single. It is more difficult now that I have a wife and a 2 year old boy with another on...

    My Story

Isn't that funny...last year I bought a home at Countryside and Bramalea. Boom would be an understatement, it is out of control, I have to get out. I don't think I can make it out North, I want the city with a bit of land. I was born and raised in Brampton so it has a piece of my heart and my...

    New... my story

Welcome Stephanie. I started getting severe pains in my first year of university..working mon-fri, going to school, and partying took a toll and by Christmas break I was forced to the ER to have my appendix removed. Along with my appendix came part of my bowl...SURPRISE you have Crohn's. I...

    My Story

Thanks everyone! Jettalady, I live in Brampton, what about yourself? I'm pretty bad with my meds aswell, but I am slowly learning that I can't take my body for granted. I may feel well but who knows what is going on internally. Better to be proactive than reactive!

    My Story

Hello all, My name is Randy and I have had stomach pains for as long as I can remember and seeing doctor after doctor I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant. That helped but I would still get the odd sharp pain. That was very tolerable so I lived with it, and visiting the rest room often was...
