    Oh how embarrassing :/

Crohn's is so much better when you can laugh at yourself isn't it? I think you have to be able to although no matter what that still must be horrifying when its going on. I was drinking a bunch of laxative for a CT scan at the hospital once. Well I chugged the whole 4 litre jug in a span of 30...

Absolutely you can lead a normal life after as Karissa said. Crohn's can be tough, as your daughter is experiencing now, but Crohn's is very much treatable and very much a manageable disease. It won't take long on these forums to notice that people here do extraordinary things with Crohn's...

    New here. LDN or Humira?

Okay well first off welcome to the forums. Secondly I don't have a clue on anything about LDN so I'm going to be pretty useless there. Finally, I see you don't want to be on immuno-suppresents however both Humira and Remicade work by doing just that. They are classified as biologics but are...

    Help pls

diesandhur beat me to it but I was going to say it could be a migrane issue. Seems that I build things up a lot since I've had Crohn's and I always have to relate it to me meds or it just being a 'Crohn's thing'. Hopefully you get some answers though and hope you feel better soon here.

    Facing Surgery -- Need advice

I never had the full blown blockage but I did have many 'narrowings' which I had to have a procedure done to open up again. That was about 3 months after starting Remicade and my doctor said that because I was so sick before starting Remicade, that the Remicade healed me so fast it scarred in...

    Scared

100 mg is probably about right. They do it on mg per kg. I'm not weighing in at 73 kgs and I'm on 200 mg so I'd say (as I'm not double the weight) thats a relatively low dose or I'm on a high dose.

    Scared

Hey vickie. Have been on Imuran for a year and a bit now, started at Christmas 2009 and no effects yet other than the occasional flu or cold I may have not otherwise had but we will blame Remicade for that. Best way I think about side effects (for me anyway) is to think about what is my...

    Surgery with a robotic machine

Hey there. Haven't had it done but had a family friend have surgery with it (if its what your talking about). Basically its not a robot doing the work it is still the doctor. The surgeon puts his hands into controllers and those are the 'robot's hands'. The doctor watches on a monitor and...

    Remicade: How long until remission?

I'm every 8 but have only gone my loading times plus 2 and my third regular cycle infusion is this coming Thursday. Have to talk with my doctor after this infusion about moving to 7 but I'm not so sure my insurance companies are going to be happy about that. I've never personally heard of...

How has Crohn's changed your life?

Negative: Missed opportunities, especially in high school. Missed a lot of events with friends, missed my dry grad, missed a lot of high school sports. Positive: Confidence. Crohn's has forced me to be more confident with myself. You really just have to be able to laugh at yourself no matter...

    Sick of relationships

Porter I know what you mean about the watching everyone else drink and its incredibly hard to watch. I think it may be because Crohn's forces you to grow up so much faster. You have to be responsible when dealing with this and being drunk every weekend really isn't an option anymore. However...

    Fradge

Hey there welcome to the forums. I'm always leery of those 'cures'. Less than 10 years ago there was people saying swallowing a certain worm (possibly roundworm?) could cure IBD.... Diarrhea isn't always constant across all people with Crohn's. There are some with extreme constipation here...
