Imuran Question & Doctor is on Vacation

Hi I didn't have pain but did have lots of nausea and eventually I had to come off it as it was affecting my liver. I would certainly ask either your GP or consultant about the type and level of pain that you are getting - just to give you some reassurance. I note that you said your liver...

    Period and CD

Hello Marissa After speaking to my GP & consultant, they suggested the Mirena Coil but please remember that I am a lot older than you and am due for the menopause anytime soon (can't come quick enough!). I know in the UK they are not keen about using the coil unless you have had children and...

    Bearly There: An Update

Good luck SarahBear for Friday - I am sure you will do really well. Clinique is a good brand. The place where you currently work (and hopefully will be leaving very soon!) will realise what they have lost but that is their problem. I'll be thinking of you and sending good luck vibes across...

Totally agree with LindaS. Everyone deserves to be paid a decent wage. I really hope that you get sorted soon. Take care and lots of hugs.

    New in

Hello I am so sorry to hear what your grandson and all of you have been going through recently. In my opinion you were right to stop the immunosuppressants as the symptoms you described sound like Peter had a severe reaction to them. What I can say to you is that this forum is full of people...

    Bad day today - Cocodomol

Hi Hornby Is Cocodomol OK to take with Crohns? The reason I ask is that aspirin & ibuprofen can aggravate your symptoms and I know that when I was in hospital last year they would not give me Cocodomol only tramedol and I take paracetamol if I have pain as it doesn't aggravate my Crohns. If you...

    Crohn's Remission Support Group

Hi guys - I am new to this support group. My 'remission' story is that clinically all my markers (bloods and FP stool test) show that I am in remission (according to my consultant). However, I still get the big D and some mild lower right quadrant Crohns pain. Just been through 2 weeks of...

    Bearly There: An Update

Look after yourself SarahBear and take it easy. I know things are tough at the moment but you are a very special person and here's hoping things start to get better soon. Good news about the interview. Take care and lots of cool hugs. :rr: (love this smilie)

Why do I have a solid poo in the morning followed by loose urgent poos for the rest of the day?

Thanks guys - the overnight theory was my feeling aswell as it seems to make sense. Guess I will give psyllium a try as from what I've seen on here, it can really help some people. At least I managed to go out today which I made myself do, as I do not want this disease to control my life...

Why do I have a solid poo in the morning followed by loose urgent poos for the rest of the day?

The title says it all. This is a fairly recent change for me - the last few weeks. But it is starting to affect my confidence about going out as I am never quite sure when I am going to need the loo and if I do it will be urgently. I am wondering whether to start taking Imodium or Psyllium...

    UK members MRI results

Hello Charlottevet In 2012 I had a MRI and got the results within a week when I met with my consultant. Bearing in mind also that just after the test the technician said that the images they had captured were fine (in terms of being sent to the consultant). They did show signs of Crohns and...

Say something nice to the person above you

SarahBear I love your piccie - big strong bear but we all know that 'teddy bears' are also big softies. Hug a bear :ghug: Great thread by the way!

    B12 injection

My GP told me every 3 months but I have just had my B12 levels tested (2 months after the loading dose) and if they are low I will have it one month early.

    B12 injection

Hello I was very low in B12 and my GP prescribed 6 injections over a 2 week period and then every 3 months. After my first one I was buzzing for about 24 hours although it did give me a dose of the big D. For me it has really helped to start to turn things around.

    16 days post surgery

You can have diarrhoea and loose bowel movements for some weeks/months after surgery. My surgery was 9 months ago and at times I feel like my bowels are still recovering. I did have a large abscess removed as well so it may be slightly different to your surgery. My doctor did say that it can...

    Bullying

I'm so happy that the bullying has reduced and your gorge gal is doing much better apart from her arm. As everyone has said above she can get some great designs and tags on her cast. Hugs as ever Carol xx

Blood tests - are they necessary?

Thanks Dusty I think they call it U&E here in the UK.

    Sharp chest pain

NGNG I know it's a pain going to the doctor/hospital but I think you know what you have to do. Intense chest pain whether is on the right or left side should always be checked out. I have been to the ER twice in the last two years with chest pain and am glad that I went, if only for the...

Blood tests - are they necessary?

Thanks DustyKat & AlexChris for your useful posts reminding us what regular blood tests we should all be getting regularly. I know since I have had regular blood tests and now understand how the levels fluctuate and why, I feel more in control of making decisions about which meds to try -...
