commercials why do i never see commercials for remicade? the only biologics i've seen advertised are humira and stelara?

a healthy weight for me is 105-110. currently i'm 95, but that's up from the 90 that i was at my lowest 2 weeks ago. to clarify, i'm only 5'1, so not just a beanpole normally. just short.

i'm up to 95 lbs!!! this is after a personal low of i think 90. and it only took 2 weeks!!! :dance::dance::dance:

my very first symptom was mouth ulcers/tongue-gum swelling. what's frustrating is that i can almost get rid of those symptoms completely with high doses of probiotics. however, the probiotics mess up my guts and irritate my fistula! i'm on a steroid cream for my mouth. i just started remicade a...

isn't overcompensation of the immune system the hallmark of autoimmune? if it were an immune deficiency then you would also be at risk for other illnesses. again, the people i know that have crohns are generally very healthy, aside from their guts.

oh, and even what you say is true about the biologics somehow helping to "kill" this particular bacteria, what about all the other immunosuppressants that people do well on? imuran, 6mp? again, shouldn't these make symptoms worse?

but if it reproduces that slowly, why would you have flares and remissions? wouldn't it be more likely you would have a gradual increase in symptoms? i'm no scientist. i'm just curious.

glad to help. it is kind of a scary drug, but it's kind of a scary condition. uncertainty does stink. believe me, i know. but just remember too, that if this doesn't work, there are others you can try as well. this one just has the best track record with fistulas. and fistulas suck!! lol. mine...
