Who is responsible for treating your Crohn's Disease?

I was lucky enough to find one of the top GI doctors in my city. He was always by my side, holding my hand at times..assuring me that I would live a normal life with Crohns. You know how they say, some doctors have a bad bed side manner, well not Dr. Sakur...one of the best around, I...

Did you have Antibiotics as a kid?

I took Antibiotics when I was 7, I came down with Pneumonia. A few times over the years, more were taken. This is interesting...I never knew about this either, thanks for this Kate. It's always good to know, what may be the cause of Crohns.

Weight management-no slim young thing here!

I'm sure if I didn't have Crohns, I would have been twice the weight I am now. I have managed to stay at about 120 to 130, it's really not the way I wanted to feel healthy, but it's out of my hands.

How many times have you been hospitalized?

Oh my gosh, tough question for me...Honestly to many to count. Every summer like clock work since I was 18...so that would be, hmmmm....alot, lol. That's one of the worst things about Crohns, hardly ever see the light of day.

    Meg's Story

Hi Meghan, nice to meet you. Glad you joined the site. My suggestion to you would be, tell your doctors of your concern about all the meds you are taking. It's very important to communicate your thoughts with your doctors. That does seem like an awful lot of pills sweetie...plus the prednisone...
