How likely is Crohn's colitis to evolve into affecting the small bowel

Does anyone know what the likelihood is of Crohn's that starts as Crohn's colitis only remaining in the colon and not affecting the small bowel?

Can EEN help cutaneous Crohn’s (skin manifestations)?

Thank you, MLP, for sharing. My skin and arthritis usually flare with my bowel activity, so maybe EEN would work. I just need motivation to do it once again. Do your son’s skin and arthritis issue both fall under Crohn’s? And do you know if they’ve figured out why some flare independently of...

Thank you! I’m actually using the Equate (Wal Mart) version. Hopefully they also have a number. I appreciate all your help. 😀

Are all oral meds ok to take while on EEN, and will EEN possibly help meds work better?

Thanks. I’m doing this on my own, so I don’t have a doctor prescribing it and am not sure who would know the answer.

Are all oral meds ok to take while on EEN, and will EEN possibly help meds work better?

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if blending the formula with ice or mixing it with hot water affects the vitamins in it? I’ve been doing that with most and am wondering if I’m destroying the vitamins. Am I allowed to take a regular vitamin with it or would that affect the outcome of EEN?

Are all oral meds ok to take while on EEN, and will EEN possibly help meds work better?

I’m going to attempt EEN. Last time I tried it I did physically see my arthritis go down, but when I changed the fat I was using (I was making my own formula), I got worse again and couldn’t get back to where I was before. This time I’m going to try Ensure or Boost. Can I take all my oral meds...

    Anti-map doctors in the US

Thanks. I actually tried to email the Human Para, but my email kept bouncing. I actually ended up messaging them through Facebook and they gave me an alternate email to try, so I’m hoping they can help with finding a doctor. Did you see an actual list of doctors on the site? Do you remember...

    Anti-map doctors in the US

Does anyone have any contacts for any anti-map doctors in the US that would be willing to work with my local GI? Two of the doctors I’ve tried to contact are retired and the other two are at the Center for Digestive Diseases in Australia, and they’re telling me I need to be a patient if theirs...

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Thanks for sharing your daughter’s experiences with two biologics. I’m sorry she’s had such a hard time with getting her arthritis under control. Should the Cimzia be helping with her arthritis but it doesn’t and only helps with her Crohn’s? I ask because I have the opposite reaction where the...

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Does your son have peripheral arthritis? And is he on the MTX to help with arthritis, prevent antibodies or just to boost the effectiveness of the biologics?

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Interesting you’re on Entyvio and Stelara since that was an option I’ve been given and may try if Cimzia doesn’t work. Have you noticed any improve your being in both? I hope upping your 6mp helps. Is your GI concerned at all about your being on two biologics and 6mp? Is that plan to stay on all...

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Did you have any other EIM’s with your Crohn’s like iritis or uveitis? Just wondering if Stelara works for those. I’m glad Stelara is working well for you.

I just accidentally replied to Scipio when I was trying to reply to you. My response is below. Sorry about that.

Oh sorry, I was trying to reply to MLP on that one.

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Yeah, this new GI that told me about Stelara being more gut specific was the first I had heard that. My other GI and rheumatologist both suggested Stelara as an alternative to Entyvio, but this new GI said she would add Stelara to Entyvio as an option. She mentioned something about Stelara’s...

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

How is your son’s arthritis with Stelara? My GI said Stelara might be an option but it was more of a gut-specific biologic, not as gut specific as Entyvio, but she was concerned if I tried it for EM’s that it may not work. Hmm, where did you hear Cimzia doesn’t work for arthritis? I thought...

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

Hi Kitz, What other biologic are you on with a Entyvio, and how long did it take to resolve your extra-intestinal manifestations with it? Have you have any side effects? And how long have you been on both?

Double-biologic therapy with Entyvio to control extra-intestinal symptoms

I doubt this will get many if any responses since it's uncommon, but does anyone have experience using an additional biologic with Entvyio? I'm on it now and it's kept my gut in check for years but my extra-intestinal symptoms, mainly arthritis and iritis, have been flaring for about a year and...

    Tacrolimus experiences

I did some searching and it doesn’t look like many people are on this, but I thought I’d check anyway. Can anyone share their experiences with this drug? Most importantly how long did it take to kick in and did you have high potassium levels on it? I’m actually on Entyvio which is working for...
