    My 18 year old son was diagnosed with active Crohn's in November. He is on Asacol, Aciphex and predisone. He started out on 40mg of the steroids and has got down to 10mg this week.     Colonoscopy and EGD results

    My son has gastritis and active Crohns and takes Aciphex for the gastritis and Asacol and prednisone for the Crohn's and does well with it. Not sure if they have tried the Asacol or Aciphex for you.

    Let's talk about pain

    My son was just diagnosed with Crohn's and has pain in his lower right quadrant and in the stomach area with a flare up. He had a little pain every few days in b/w flare ups.

    Update from dr appt today

    Well we took my son to the dr today and he said he had moderate Crohn's disease. He put him on Prednisone 40 mgs, Cipro 500mg twice a day, and Asacol 800 mg twice a day. He said he wants to get on it hard to see if he can get him in remission in a couple of months. I thought he had quit smoking...
