Hello, I have a problem and I'm wondering do u have it too. Whenever I get influenza, sore throat or something else like these, my bowel movement increases a bit and also I get diarrhea. When flu, sore throat pass, my bowels slowly become normal.
When you get cold, flu, sore throat; do you experiment the same things?
Thanks.

I'm also wondering that: can influenza increase CRP? If so, how much increasing there should be? Is there any limit?

Are you on any medications? Anything that reduces your autoimmune system? Those can have a marked impact on the severity of a Flu bug and your susceptibility to it, as well as how your body reacts to it.

Yes, those all can be symptoms from having the flu....and yes, when you are ill, your CRP can rise, doesn't just have to be from Crohns' symptoms...any illness can cause this.

Omg I was just about to post the same the same questions.
All weekend been having sore joints and a low fever on Friday and Saturday not so much now, runny nose, headachy and just overall malaise. I want to sleep constantly.
Only thing I am currently on is Pentasa for 4 weeks and Entocort 9mg for also 4 weeks, but noticed my bowels are getting a bit looser too.

Is there anything i can take Tylenol or advil??

I'm the same, whenever I get a cold/virus, my guts start acting up too. I'm not sure why, but it seems to happen every time - and like you described, my guts calm down again as I start to get over the cold. I don't think it's anything to worry too much about.

Daunting, Advil is an NSAID which is a big no-no when you have IBD, but Tylenol should be safe to take. Just make sure to stick to the recommended dose as listed on the bottle - don't take too much, or it could cause damage to your liver.
