6MP/mercaptopurine hair loss 😢

I'm sure this has already been On here before but I stopped taking mercaptopurine about a week ago due to raised liver enzyme levels and hair loss. Anybody been through the same? Wondering how long it takes for the hair to stop falling out. It's really getting to me now.

Have you had a TPMT test? This identifies whether your liver can effectively break down the drug. I had a low reading therefore I have to be monitored closely and take a very low dosage.

Yes I did have the test and was being monitored with weekly blood tests. It was fine for around 5 weeks then elevated slightly. Was advised to carry on taking the drug but also continue to have bloods taken. The next week enzyme levels stayed the same and then the week after they had risen again which is when I was told to stop taking them.
