Over the past several weeks I have noticed an extreme increase in stomach sounds that are so frequent and loud that it is embarassing. My bowel movements are fewer than my normal and always very thin. I have constant gas pains that I can never seem to get rid of. I have had Crohn's for over 6 years and all of these are abnormal for me. Could this be consistant with a partial bowel obstruction, or just something else from the Crohn's?

How is a partial obstruction tested for?

i've been getting really loud tummy sounds as well lately, i've got no idea what it is??

I get this from time to time as well. I also have a lot of pain in my stomach when I wake up in the morning. My GI thinks it's a buildup of gas while I'm sleeping. He told me to take a gas pill before bed, so far so good. Have you tried taking any?

hmm you mentioned thin stool--have you ever had swelling in your intestine or a stricture?
that can make the intestines really tiny in some spots and make your poo come out in thin pieces. i have a stricture in my rectum and didnt even know it was there till my doc did an exam under anesthesia and couldnt get through it!
not trying to scare you, but call your doc if you are thinking something is weird, some simple tests might be able to show what the problem is, if there is one.

otherwise, thos symptoms are consistent with flare symptoms for me. my tummy gets SOO noisy, i think it has to do with the bowels not movin things along properly, you know? lots of gases develop when the food sits in there.

hope it gets resolved, let us know how you are feeling
