Hello, I have crohns confined to my small bowel and my main and most deliberating symtom is bowel spasms/cramps. They come in waves and last all day everyday for like an entire week and then subside only to return again maybe the following week, or maybe the following month. When they hit if they are bad I am not really able to move. I don't feel hungry but eat a bit. I feel constipated a bit but can still pass stools maybe every 2-3 days and pass a lot of gas. My stomach also makes really loud gurgling sounds.

Is there any medication to make my small bowel stop spasming like this? Anything to relax specifically the SMALL bowel?

Ds has taken periactin levsin elavil and bentyl .
All for abdominal pain
Bentyl works the best for him
He also uses a tens unit which does a good job as well

What about menstrual cramps and small bowel crohns. They are kicking my but but no stomach cramps while having period. I can't take a hot bath all day and don't wanna take birth control pills

For me Buscopan is quite helpful but cannot control the cramping 100% when it's really bad. And I only take it when I'm close to dying ;-) so maybe it's even more helpful when taking it BEFORE things get unbearable.
