Hi I am six weeks post a total colectomy-resection, using lap (not open) surgery. Back at work, but still lacking energy to do sports, workouts, play with kids etc. Some days, or evenings I am still totally washed out with that fluey fatigue feeling.

I got rid of my wound pain a few weeks ago, but now have some new pain re-emerge in my mid-lower left abdomen. It only bothers me when I move around, get up etc, so have assumed this is muscular.

Anyone else experienced this?

David

It can still be tender but if it's a new pain I'd bring it up with the surgeon. You could have adhesions like said above and your surgeon can advise.

Hi David. You may over done it a bit. I tried to cut pain meds to soon and the pain returned. Need more meds to get it back under control. Give the doc a call just to be safe. Hope it's nothing serious.

If ur feeling fluey you may be dehydrated thats how i get when i am. Drink isotonic drinks they're excellent for dehydration
