Hi all,

Have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, they are also looking into the possibility of me having Crohns in my terminal ilieum and have been experiencing some different symptoms recently.

I have always been feeling tired but recently I have been sleeping through the night, a first for nearly a year, and having to do nothing all day, after school run, just so I can get my youngest from school and prepare tea.

Also been having chills, sometimes at night before I fall asleep and then during the day as well.

Have had pain on the left side, due to UC, but have, in the last month or so, been getting really bad pain just above and forward of my right hip. Nothing I do eases it.

Have also been getting what I think are cysts 'down there'(sorry guys). Not ever had anything like this before but dont know what is or isnt related to IBD anymore.

My bloods were ok(not brill but ok) last time I had them checked, 2 weeks ago, but my CRP levels were really high, according to my IBD nurse.

Am going up for my Infliximab infusion Monday so I will speak to my IBD nurse but just wanted to get some ideas/advice from other people on here.

It seems there are a few of us this week with lumps, boils, cysts etc 'down there'
My boil is in my groin and it's popped, but filled again. I think it's cos I'm off work with a heavy cold, fever, flu like symptoms and my immune system is on the floor!
There is something called a Bartholin's cyst (sp) it might be that, get it checked with your GP asap
And get your LRQ checked too, I had horrific hip pain when I was blocked.

Thanks for the quick reply.
From what I have read on Bartholins cysts they are inside down there(could be wrong). Mine are on the outside of labia(where the pubic hair is) I currently have 6. 4 on 1 side 2 on the other. Various sizes. Have had penicillin for them recently but as with all meds at the moment I am now allergic to that as well.
Have been feeling flu like as well.

6 of them, you poor love!
I've been researching mine, and the only explanation is an infected hair follicle. In your case, 6!
Does yours sound like this

I've been using boiling hot water to kill it, then Savlon.

Hi hun,
The smallest one is about 4cm long by 2cm wide. Very sore and they are hot to touch. They sometimes bleed and some pus comes out of them. The doc has taken swabs but the 1st round of penicillin cleared them up. It is so painful and sometimes the pain goes down my legs as well.
Am scared to go back to the docs again but I will mention it to my IBD nurse Monday. I dont think they will give me the Infliximab with them.
Have been having backache as well. Feel like all I do is complain that this hurts and that hurts.
