Alcohol & Constipation

HELP!!!!!

I was diagnosed with Crohns about 2 months ago so still in process of alimiating certain foods etc!

BUT every time i drink alcohol, i wake up the next day and within a couple of hours i have a huge belly (rock hard) and am completely constipated for 1-2 days. It so unconfortable and i look ridiculous like i have a pot belly!!!

Why is this, can i do anything to stop it?

Many people with IBD find alcohol difficult to tolerate, although many of us seem to have the opposite reaction to it. Unfortunately, you may need to cut out alcohol or at least reduce your intake for a while. It may be easier for you to tolerate once you go into remission.

I think ill just have to cut it out till im in remission, just makes it hard to be a normal 21 year old ( x
