an intro...crohn's or not crohn's? very confused

Hi all,
Im having a little health dilemma and im feeling rather over whelmed about it all so i thought i'd post and just ask general advice from everyone.
well where do i start. i guess with the nitty grittys. I have recently been diagnosed with folliculitis on my thighs and bum. Ive had it for years but just thought i was a freak and didnt really have the guts to go to the doctors about it. However, im now 29 and thought i should just brave it and get it sorted. So they gave me Dermol cream which seemed to make it worse. then they put me on fucidin H cream and flucloxacillin tablets and although im only half way through the week course, its got so much worse and not better in anyway and im really upset. Im suppose to be going on holiday in 1 week and i'll be wearing a wet suit at this point.
Anyway, thats besides the point coz the other thing i didnt mention to the doctor is that i have been passing bloody stools quite a bit and i think it is co-inciding with the serious outbreaks of folliculitis. I also have stomach bloating after eating and im always tired.
I have done some research and i think the folliculitis may be due to iron dificency caused by bleeding from the gastro tract. is this possible? I have passed bloody stools on and off for a long time now too.
Reading up, it looks similar to symptoms from crohn's disease. is this possible?
Im so confused and im off in 1 week for 2 months and its now saturday so doctors is closed and i just need help, please.

Welcome Sunny! The bloody stool, bloating and lethargy are definitely common crohns symptoms. I just ran a search on folliculitis and apparently that may well be also. There are many threads on here in which it is mentioned. I hope it isn't crohns, but I think you need to face the possibility and tell your doc about all these symptoms. Good luck!!

I would let your doctor know of all your symptoms. It may be Crohn's or it may be something else, but the confusion and anxiety will remain until your doctor runs some tests to try to figure out what exactly is going on.

Good luck, and I hope some of the symptoms calm down enough for you to go on and enjoy your holiday.
