So today i realised i have had anal fissure for atleast 2-3 years and recently its becoming worse, i just kind of thought it was "normal". The thing is i go for 3 BM's a day but yet my BM's are usually way tooo hard! Its like hey you cant be constipated your going 3 times a day.....

Can anybody relate to this at all?

Hey there, sorry to hear about your problem but I had a question for you about your symptoms. Would you describe the bowel movement as painful and really hard to pass at the same time because I have had this for almost a year and it's only getting worse. I try to strain as little as possible but it's really hard to get it out and I can only push for short moments at a time because it's too painful resulting in a very long and painful time in the bathroom.

Before i was on my thyroid tablets every BM was as you described. My thyroid tablets have helped alot regarding my BMs but recently they started to go worse again.

Hey, thanks for the reply. How long have you been taking that medication and could you possibly check out the thread I made which goes more in detail about my symptoms and current situation and tell me how much it matches your problem? it doesn't let me post a link but the thread is called "Painful bowel movements" and its in the support forum

And have you noticed what kind of food to avoid or food that helps?

I just read that erm mine was not so much like that but my BM's used to be like mud, really hard to push out and always tons of toilet paper needed!

I have been taking the medication for about 2 years have you ever had your thyroid tested?

I also have candida so i am just eating the usual no sugar ect and sticking with meats, fish ect if i do eat foods with sugars yeast then the mud BM's become alot worse.

How do you get a thyroid tested and have you tried doing sitz baths with epsom salt mixed in? I just bought some myself so i'm gonna test it out.

You can go your GP and ask to get tested, but more than likely they will only test TSH and T4.

Or you can order from genova a "full thyroid panel" and add on RT3. This will measure TSH/FT4/FT3/RT3 and anti bodies but will cost about 150 euro.

You see if you have any other symptoms b4 testing tho such as low temperature, cold hands feet ect
