HI.

Have any of you tried any of the Antispasmodic drugs that are on the market.

I recently tried Librax and felt not too bad except for some massive bloating and gas with cramps, I family doctor has now prescribed me bentylol to try... I cant believe how sleep I am don't know if this drug will help me out either. I feel as if I am running out of options.

I still have not been diagnosed as of yet, my gastroenterologist is sitting on the fence, I go for a ct enterography next week lets hope it will fill in the blanks.

Thanks guys.

I do take bentyl sometimes for crampiness and things like that. It does make me sleepy, I feel like it makes me go to the bathroom a lot and it gets rid of the stomach pain. I'm not sure if that's how its suppose to work though!

I have tried Bentyl, mescapolamine, hyoscyamine, and amitriptyline. All of them help about 5% with severe cramaping and pain from Crohn's Disease.

The mescapolamine causes bad constipation and the mescapolamine, hyoscyamine, and amitriptyline all cuase severe urinary hesitancy. I would rather deal with the cramping and Crohn's pain than deal with the urinary hesitancy. It made me feel like I had to go all the time but I couldn't.

Bentyl

Thanks

I've been noticing to samething. This is my first day trying it and I've noticed I'm really tired and have been running to the bathroom alot today some have been normal and my last one was diarrhea. I don't
think it is helping me. Funny thing the doctor was worried it would constipated me. I guess not

Has anyone tried librax ??

I've tried buscopan, mebeverine and one other, can't remember the name (but no one has mentioned it on this post) and they didn't work unfortunately.

tots- ugh I sure with the Bentyl worked for me. I've taken it a few times since filling the script but not sure it did one thing. Not sure if the pain went away on it's own or if the meds finally kicked in after 90 minutes. What does Wellbutrin do? I've heard of it but not familiar with it.

Bentyl not for me

Well the Jury's out.... Bently is not for me.

I took it only yesterday (3 pills) but by the end of the night I was running to the bathroom. It made me go so many times during the day and then in the evening I had the runs. I don't understand what happened I thought it was suppose to constipate me. I called and spoke to the pharmacist and was told to stop it immediately and contact my doctor to advise him about it. Sure some of the pain went away, but I think I'd rather have the pain than the running to the bathroom.

Did this happen to any of you??

I have also not been diagnosed yet, but I was on Bentyl and now Levisin (not sure what their technical names are). Neither gave me full relief, but I prefer Levisin. Bentyl made me way too drowsy.

Buscopan and mebeverine are of absolutely no help to me whatsoever, but they don't cause any side effects either. My body is completely indifferent to them.
