Hi! I also have both Celiac and Crohns disease. I think it's fairly common for people to have both. Between both diseases lists of "don't and can't eat foods" it does make it pretty challenging to find stuff to eat and digest well. It takes some getting used to, like checking ingredients on labels, asking questions at restaurants, but it gets easier. Also, many grocery stores and restaurants are starting to offer more gluten-free options. Whole Foods is a great place to find stuff and I noticed you're from North Carolina, when I've been there I've found Harris Teeter carries a lot too.
Oh! And my GI doctor told me once that sometimes Crohn's symptoms can create a false positive in the Celiac test. So maybe once you have them under control they can re-test you for celiac. After a few years on Remicade he had me go off the gluten-free diet for a month, re-test my blood levels for celiac, and cross my fingers that it came back negative for Celiac. Sadly, I received a call a few days later to quickly begin the gluten-free diet again. Just something to think about though. If you have any questions about gluten-free eating or anything, feel free to ask! : )
