I might have misheard my GI my last appointment (will meet with her soon).
I believe she said after Imuran I will be put on Asacol? Anyone know if that is logical or usually done for Crohn's? Anyone have experience with it in Crohn's? Should I trust my GI and take it? I know its a good option for UC but never really heard of it for treating Crohn's.

Sorry I'm unaware of the location of the inflammation, so you all may not have a well informed answer, just curious on any information and your expierences.
Thanks

I have been on it multiple times in the past. It is generally used of the disease is located in the large intestine versus the small intestine I believe.

After Imuran? Like you will go on Imuran for a while and then stop it and only take Asacol?
If so that doesn't sound like a great plan. Asacol is good for treating the top layer of the large intestine but it doesn't go through all the layers to help (whereas Imuran will). If you are taking them together that makes sense, since it can help treat he inflammation but not all of it.
