Is there anything I can do to stop the pain of a fistula? I've tried them sitz baths and pain killers not working.
I'm seeing the surgeon in two weeks about it but just need something to stop the pain in the mean time! The pain is extreme when on the toilet - to the point where I'm crying in agony. And it even hurts when I'm walking. Grateful for any help!!

I'm sorry you are in so much pain. You shouldn't have to wait two weeks to get this dealt with. Can the doctor just prescribe prescription pain killers? Or can you see a pain management doctor.

Thanks for the reply. I think it's the earliest appointment I can get to see him! I didn't know you can get to see some one about pain management. It's terrible wouldn't wish it on anyone 😥

You can ask for a prescription over the phone before your appointment because its too long to wait. There are specialized pain management centers and doctors. Try your local hospital to find a doctor.

Hi Donna
I'm so sorry you're suffering like this :-( There's a cream called Calmoseptine that a lot of people swear by for some relief from the pain of fistulas. And a hot water bottle or heating pad can also give some comfort.
