Hi everyone.

I was discharged from hospital on the 20/03/13 diagnosed with Crohns.

It was pretty rough. Had colonoscopy which was extreamly painful.

Anyway since being discharged i have been feeling very tired and forgetfull of a few things but nothing much.

in hospital they tested my B12 and the results came back normal.
Am I just worn out from Hospital or could I be suffering B12 Deficiency??

on Pentasa 2g twice a day
and Antibiotics

What should I do?
Cheers
Thor

Hello
It is worth asking your doctor to check your B12, vit D, magnesium, iron & folate and zinc to start with.
My B12 and vit D were really low and I have started taking both and my energy levels are greatly improved. 😎

As Crohn's patients we lack the ability to absorb vitamins properly like normal people. Try getting some liquid vitamins (Nature's Made- Full Strength Mini's Men's Multi-Vitamin (it is better to get liquid form than say a hard centrumn.), Flaxseed Oil with Omega-3, and Gentle Iron (because the hard iron pills hurt). Hope this helps. :]

I give myself B12 inj twice a month. It's the only way I can absorb it.... I'd get it checked again.
