Bleeding after all these years

Im a new forum member. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in the late 1970's . After lots of sugery I have been lucky to enjoy good health for the last 24 yrs.
My final operation was a proctectomy making my ileostomy permanent.
My rectal wound never fully healed leaving a sinus. Now suddenly this sinus has started to bleed.... has any one else had anything similar ?

Greetings and welcome. When you say a, "sinus" are you speaking of a, "fistula"?

Have you been on any maintenance medications?

Hi David, I believe it is a sinus, it doesnt behave like a fistula.
I wonder if there is some infection, havent been on any medication since 1997 ! Im very lucky.....compared to some.

Have you been back to your doctor since this new issue arose? If so, what did they say?

As things have now settled down I just got shrugged shoulders.
