Hi

I had blood in stool. Now this does occasionally occur, however there was a fair amount of blood with congealed blood.

Usually there is a tea spoon or so but there seemed to be a lot more this time.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Cam

What were you diagnosed with? It does sound like flare material. Have you recently been in a flare? Now wouldn't be a bad idea to contact your doctor. Another good thing would be to make sure you're getting enough fluids and nutrition. Hope you'll feel better soon. Please keep us updated.

Hi thanks for replying

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It doesn't feel like a flare, I do have abdominal pain although during a flare I would be going toilet 20+ times a day, which I haven't been.

So I'm not sure

My flares always start with more frequent visits then move onto blood too, previously I had gone 10+ times a day with small amounts of blood this time it has been less times but more blood, so could it be possible you could be starting a flare? If u see a doctor they should be able to do a quick examination to see if it's hemorrhoids that might be causing it?

Also usually during a flare I would have loose BM's. I have actually been a little bunged up.

I have also been having upper abdominal pain, the upper left quadrant.

It could be a flare, but it could also be from an internal hemorrhoid or a fissure. You say you're a bit bunged up. Have you been straining at all?
