What is the blood test for crohn's.....if that is a positive and he doesnt have crohns what else could it be??? Said something about antibiodies???

Maybe Prometheus 7. Violet was NEG for all seven markers. She still has Crohn's. Her doc said if it is pos, it is reliable, there is no false margin, but many with IBD test neg. It is by no means definitive.
Request copies of all labwork be emailed or mailed to you so you have hard copies, always helpful in case you go elsewhere for treatment.

Oh hon, you need the lab work for sure, then you can look up each test and what it means, or ask on here.

Love to you guys. We're all here for you.

From my understanding, you have more chance of a positive result if you have small bowel disease BUT as a diagnostic test it is not sensitive or specific enough to be used as one. It is more important to look at symptoms, the course it takes, scopes and imaging.

Do you keep a journal? If not it may be useful to do so as it is a way of tracking symptoms and my help in obtaining a diagnosis. Have a look a the guidelines we have in the wiki...
