I struggle with malnutrtion and anemia, like most of us do. I can't eat meat and many things that are good for you are on a cronhnies "do not eat" list. I came across this by seeing a Dr. of Integrative Medicine. It treats so many things and since being on it for a month my lab draw showed improvement. It's basicly grass feed organic, chicken or beef bones broken up and cooked for 48 to 70 hours. We usually buy chicken with the meat, roast the chicken for 30 mins. with spices then cook it in the water overnight. Next night remove all meat from bones, add all spices and veggies, continue to simmer over 3rd night to get as much nutrients as you can. Then drain with cheese cloth and to get just broth. Let sit in the fridge then remove hard fat that has collected at top of broth. I make soup with the veggies that were left. You can add more spices then called for and I add kelp and Kale to the broth to help get my greens. It's not healed me, but I am a whole lot better off!! We make it every weekend because it takes time and many steps, but worth it!! It's like gold, for the times that no matter what you eat bloats or causes pain, like I have almost always! I do 3 a day if I can. It feels healing and it's soothing before bedtime. I will offer any advice, but you can find many types of recipes for bone broth on the internet. Whole foods or a local organic butcher is where you can find it, since it's grass fed. Good luck to all! If anything has helped work for you, please feel free to share on this thread
TIP: Make around 20 quarts at once and freeze if you need to. It's a lengthly process so don't start small. :ghug:
