Bowel movement causes constant bleeding

Hi All,

I have Crohn's, and it goes into remission for long periods (thankfully). Lately though while it's seemingly in remission for the last 2 years or so (no cramps, or any other symptoms), I constantly bleed with bowel movements. Doesn't matter if they are fully formed, or not (goes back and forth), but there is almost always blood. Sometimes more, sometimes less... it just doesn't go away.

Otherwise, I'm completely healthy, play squash regularly and eat whatever. I just can't figure out why this would remain the case. It does seem that with rigorous physical activity stools get looser and more bloody.

Anyone have anything similar? Any advice?

Cheers,
Chris.

ps. great site!

I had that...get to your doctor asap. I actually fainted from blood loss. You don't bleed for no reason.

Good luck!

My son still bleeds some even when he's feeling good. Sometimes I think it's something he ate but we're going back to see an internist on June 9. Our regular GI told us not to worry but I can't take that advice.

I have this problem and it will go one for weeks, then stop for a few, then go and stop. It has caused me to be anemic. If I remember correctly it is from a fissure.

^^^ Yes, please go to a GI specialist as soon as you can.
