Breast lump

Have not been here in a while. Lots of stuff going on and trying to ignore the fact I have CD. Not working so well but, I am pretty much off all my meds.

Anyway- last Sunday night- of course at night, I found a large breast lump, very tender, scared the hell out of me. Saw the Dr on Monday, a few good things
1- it's tender
2- it's mobile
3- it happened very quickly
4- it had already had over night and continued to get smaller.
5- located on the top of my breast

It was half way through my cycle, my breasts have always been tender and when I was younger (I am 50 now ) had cysts frequently. My breasts felt full and tender all day, kind of like when I was pregnant.

Set for a monogram on Friday. She said she's not worried about it, I told her that's good I have enough paranoia for both if us.

I really hope all goes well. I think some paranoia in such situations is often unavoidable, even when doctors are telling you it's baseless. Please do come back and post about how the test goes. :ghug:

Had my mammogram and ultrasound today. Just a benign cyst that the radiologist said
I could/should have it drained.

Has anyone had that done?

I'm sorry I've only just seen this, I'm so glad you've had the testing done and it's not anything sinister! No experience with cysts but wanted to let you know I'm supporting you and wish you luck. You are welcome to private message me if you need an ear.

I'm sorry I have no experience of cysts either, but very glad to hear it's benign. When are you having it drained? I hope you'll let us know how it goes.
