Can't believe it. I slipped on the stairs at home last week. It was pretty swollen and bruised, but I thought I'd wait to see if swelling went down. It did, but it still didn't look or feel quite right so drove to A & E today. And came out with a plaster and crutches and had to call my friend to come get me.

Grumblefoot? ;) Sorry to hear that, Helen. Get well soon, and please let me be the first to electronically sign your cast:

Aw Helen, that stinks! Hopefully it's not a very bad break and you'll be all healed up in no time. Get better soon!

Lol. One of my first concerns. Luckily I'm a fairly D free Crohnie.
Have now probably tempted fate by saying that!

Good lord Grumble!!! I hope it is soon on the mend!!!...:getwell:

Sending loads of healing thoughts your way hun!

Good grief Helen!! Remi making you feel so good you thought you could jump stairs like a kid???!! Now you're truly an island hopper!!

Lol, Dexky, just about. I was stomping downstairs cos I could hear the hound raiding the trash bin in the kitchen. I swear he still has a smirk on his face. Well, as close to a smirk as a Beagle can get :)

When I stomp around, my dog thinks it's playtime! Your dog looks like he's smiling in your profile pic so I wouldn't doubt he's capable of smirking too.

Aww fiddle sticks! Sorry to hear that. Was never put on crutches before but I know the hurt of a broken bone (left wrist long ago). Hope you foot heals quickly! :D

Yea, crutches take a bit of getting used to. And I asked doc if it was OK to go to work, she laughed and said ' well, if you really want to.' waiting for the boss to get back from holiday today for a decision cos they're saying I might be classed an H & S hazard!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr:-(

Hospital left a message on my home phone today but I was at work, so trawled down to the hospital to be told my appointment with the Ortho doc was cancelled. He missed the plane from Stornoway ( next island over. ) So remain in plaster til he comes over on 12th.
Ah well, I'm guessing after 3 weeks only, I might not have left minus plaster anyway.

Oh no! That's terrinle. Now is a perfect time to apply for a job at the IHOP!

Lol sorry ;). Hope it doesn't cause too much trouble for you

Ah hell Grumble...:voodoo:...I reckon ya right though, the plaster would still be on.

:hang: Mate! You are doin' fab!

Oooh, I stayed plastered for two weeks straight when I was in college! I don't recommend it….oh, in a cast….I see. Well, a little extra healing can't hurt:)

Oh no helen!!!!111!!

Here's what we'll do:

Step 1: amputate
Step 2: attach peg leg
Step 3: ???
Step 4: PIRATE FUN W/ BEN! :DD:D:D:DD:D:D:D:DXD:D:D:D

:arghmatey_ani:::arghmatey_ani::grr1d: Arrrr me hearties. Shiver me timbers. And for Dexky, yo ho ho and a dozen bottles of rum :)

Good lord!!! That's like a mixture of dancing and parallel bars!!! What a champion!!! :)

How far have you got Grumble? Are you up off the chair yet? :ylol:

Always, even without a cast, but I'm trying to resist the urge. Strangely, itch not as maddening as I thought it would be given the Psoriasis. GP reckons it's cos the cast will be keeping the skin nice and moist and free from soaps etc.

Ewwwww!

Yipppppeeee!

Got the cast off today :) Such a good feeling. Shedding skin like a snake, but so glad to ditch the pot.
