Budesonide... :(

So, I saw my doctor today and after having YET ANOTHER PELVIC EXAM (to rule out my ovaries... I don't know why this keeps happening when I have a crohn's diagnosis.... yeah, I know he is just being thorough...) the doc prescribed me steroids because the pentasa isn't enough.

I'm worried about being on steroids though... he says it's only gonna be for a month... but I'm still worried.

dont be they deal with the abdo area only and much better than pred. I have to say these steds are great and I have not noticed any side effects

Hey Brooklyn, ormsklad is right, not near the problems as Prednsione. I was on a low dose for 8 years after my first surgery.. no problems what so ever. Very mild, so dont be too surprised if your symptoms are not 100% controlled.

I agree with the others. Budesonide doesn't have anywhere near the side effects of predisone. I won't say it is side-effect-free, but a lot better than predisone.
