Hey Guys!
I was wondering if any of you had ever had a wart-like or boil-like bump show up at an injection sight. This sight is at least a month old by now, and this thing needs to go away. It is this nasty purple/red color and it jutys out my stomach. Its unsightly as hell, and I'm only 20 years old, so I reserve the right to be vain about these things. It doesnt really hurt. It seems like an infection sight, like if I could pop it pus would come out, but its not and that doesnt work. It does nothing. At this point Im so frustrated I could just cut it off. If any of you have encountered this could you please tell me how you made it go away?
Thanks!:(

It would be good to show it to your doctor if you haven't already. For the longest time I thought that I had a mark on my arm from a poorly done blood draw but the problem is that it was still red and never "healed." For me, that's not what it is as I've noticed red spots in other areas. Most are flush with the skin but it is possible for them to be raised. It's very possible that you're dealing with something similar, bleeding under the skin.

It may be Petechiae (smaller pin points usually) or purpura (can be much larger). If you google the images I promise that you'll be horrified so I don't recommend it. Those images are of more extreme cases so chances are what you have wont look anything like it. Its common for there to be clusters of them but from my own experience I seem to have a few here and there. Some are raised and some are not. The spots themselves are generally harmless but its best to figure out the underlying cause.

What you can do is see your doctor and test for any vitamin deficiencies (C and K) and check your platelet count to see if either of those is the cause for you (if it is then you can treat that and it should go away). Keep in mind though that certain medications can cause these as well and since Humira can lead to easy bruising and bleeding, its very possible that it could lead to bleeding under the skin as well. If that's not what it is then let us know what your doctor said it might be. :)
