New to the forum, within the past year my dh has been diagnosed with Celiac, my son with "possible" Crohns, and me with Candida. We are all focusing on nutritional/lifestyle changes. I'd like to connect with people playing support roles and focusing on nutrition and sharing recipes, menu organization ideas, etc. Please let me know who you are and let's connect on the board so we can support one another.

We are not quite in the same boat as you but it seems I make 3 different meals most nights, myself and my younger son are both lactose intolerant and my older son and hubby both have Crohn's but as we are trying to get more calories/nutrition into my older son and less calories into dad, it seems like there are very few things we can all eat.

It is challenging and I admire your perseverance. I'm just finding it aggravating realizing that whether it's Celiac, or Candida or some type of IBS/D, the same "foods" seem to be contributing to the conditions or imbalances. People do have differing intolerances/reactions, but I'm amazed at how often gluten, milk and sugar pop up as aggravating substances. It appears that the problem is not so much "us" as it is the food industry that has inserted so many chemicals and additives designed to keep people coming back with more cravings. Too much of our food today is adulterated in some way. Well, there is a bright side to this. There now are many entire grocery store aisles I don't have to walk down....and I do have a garden. I'm working on my own family cookbook with basic recipes that suit us all. Are there any books you've found that have been especially helpful in your cooking journey?
