Can anyone recommend an individual health insurance provider who will cover me?

I've tried United already and was turned down. I don't get health insurance through my work (Small business).

I'm 27, non smoker and in relatively good health other than the Chron's.

People will need to know where you are from in order to give you specific help. Here in Australia, the Crohn's and Colitis Association has a list of insurance companies than have been recommended by its members.

Were you on any health insurance plan previously?

I can thank the health care law that I don't have the same problem as you for two years since I can still be on my parents plan from Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.

None since my diagnosis. I've been paying out of pocket for the past year, a colonoscopy, barium swallow and a catscan so far. I'm wanting the insurance so I can get on Remicade.

The local hospitals might have clinics/financial assistance. You can call them and ask them. Also, Ohio has HCAP, which is health assistance. Here is the site: http://www.ohanet.org/hcap/
