can i go back on preds when im taking azathioprine

hi there.

i have been off prednisolone for about 4 months and taking azathioprine which has been working well and have had no flare ups. But after a very stressfull xmas period I have learned that the stress kicks off the chrons and I am starting today with a flare up again

I cant speak to docs now for a few days because of new year but i need to know if i can take preds at the same time as my azathioprine as i have some and want to arttack this flare up before it gets really bad.

Im not sure what your situation is. I will say that my doctor currently has me on azathioprine while being on prednisone, and i havent had any problems myself with it.

Pred isn't a very good drug to take casually. Not sure how u would get it either without talking to the docs but they should be the ones telling u when to take it. I think the best idea would be to destress, drink peppermint tea and try not to eat any foods that agrivate your gut

If you can, I would see your doctor about the flare and come up with a plan from there.
