Hi

I wondered if any of the following ive eaten today trigger the D ive been having ALL day?:poo:

Dinner: melon, cranberry juice, banana flax seeds (smoothie)

snack: 2 small white barms with chicken and salad cream

Tea: lean mince, cauliflower, cheddar cheese, carrots, gravy granules

Drinks: diet lemonade, 1 decaf tea with sugar and milk.

I have been none stop on the toilet even though what I have had is fairly good!

Possibly the sugar substitutes? Diet drinks will make me feel horrible, even if I don't eat anything at all!

Everyone is different, and we all have different triggers. Are you lactose intolerant? That could have something to do with it, too.

Hmm that's a thought, I did drink a glass of lemonade and 10 minutes later I was on toliet about 5 times! Shame if it is the diet drinks as I love pepsi max!

I just had one cup of tea with milk this morning, so that might have started it off, then the cheese for tea.

Figuring out your trigger foods is all about trial and error. Time will tell you what works and what doesn't. Based off the list above all I can tell you is what would have been my own triggers.

Melon, flax seeds, salad cream (whatever that is but anytime I see the word salad and cream its a no go yet I can do potato salad no problem), carrots, diet drinks (the fake sweetener they use in any diet drink gives me diarrhea), and milk (cause I'm lactose intolerant yet I can do some cheese).

Dude what is with that "tea" list? Who drinks cauliflower, cheddar cheese, carrots, gravy granules as a tea? That just sounds like some weird gravy mush. :p

I think "Tea" refers to tea time, as in a meal or snack. I thought all those ingredients were in the tea at first too, I was like what the... kind of tea is that?!?!

Ha Ha my tea! erm.. my evening meal!!! It is an adapted vesion of Shepherds/cottage pie but I used cauliflower instead of potato and sprinkled cheese on top!

Flax seeds, I read is good to put in smoothies to give you energy!

Sorry read your post wrong Salad cream is my alternative to mayonaise. Just read it includes oil and maise starch.

I have a little debate with my boyf with lunch/dinner time. I call it dinner time (as I pointed out we have "dinner ladies" at schools but he always maintains its lunch time!

Any kind of seed I can't eat. Sure they really are great for people but when people have a hard time digesting seeds in general or really anything that contains a lot of fiber then we don't really need that possible energy boost to run to the bathroom. :p

Also if anything has a high amount of oil I also have a hard time with it when I'm in a flare (all of this is for when I'm in a flare as during remission I have very few trigger foods).

We have breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert (but not all the time). :p Although there is "brunch" but that's more of rich people snacking between breakfast and lunch. :p How come there's no Linner? :p

Dunno how a tasty hot beverage went from that to a full blown meal. I missed the memo. :p

Edit: If you're having energy issues then it might be best to have your Iron and B12 tested and those are very common to be low along with vit D and a whole lot of others. Might as well have every vitamin tested.

Ha Ha that's true! Sometimes I wish I lived in a bungalow or have a downstairs loo! Either way, you can bet I will be there is a flash no matter what! Good point really though, I only tried it today. Will give it a rest tomorow.

I did add veg oil when I fried the lean mince too... hmm I wonder if there is a connection there.

Brunch is my favourite, not because I am posh... just because at weekends I like my lie in!!!

Well no pop for me today! no belly ache and only had bm twice this morning. What a difference. I even had normal foods... Bacon on a barm with ketchup. Cordial and a cup of tea!!! hope im not speaking too soon though as i just had a chicken korma! thanks for the support yesterday.

Hope all keeps going well. I have no idea what a barm, cordial, and korma are but hope they were good! :D

Ha ha!! A barm which is bread bun/bap/muffins. Cordial which is juice mixed with water and a korma is like a curry but not spicy, made of coconut and is a creamy sauce! took my chance on the last one... Must admit been sitting up mainly last few hours hoping it goes down well!!
