Can mj oil cause vomiting?

My son has crohns and debilitating nausea. Started taking cannibas oil, in gel caps, first occasionally, then daily. When he started taking it daily, he started vomiting most days. We stopped the mj and the vomiting stopped. Could it be caused by the mj? Or we're we not doing it properly?

How big is the daily dose? Also what type of cannabis oil . . . Is it a mix of thc and cbd or just cbd?
