you wake up and find yourself in a room with two identical doors, one door will lead to freedom and the other will take you to the gas chamber.

At each door there is a guard, one guard will all ways tell you the trueth, the other guard will all ways lie.

you are allowed to ask one guard one question only and the guard can only answer YES or NO !!

can you get out !!!

Ok, I think I got at least part of it. You'll have to ask one guard whether the other one will tell you it's the right door; however, I can't think of a way to determine the validity of that answer that without asking the other guard the question too. :ymad:

actually there is another argument to your theory ... what happens it its nighttime .. the lier would say yes ( because its BLACK) therefore you would think he is telling you the trueth

The guard who always tells the truth will show me the door to the chamber since he knows that the other guard will lie. The guard who lies will show me the chamber door because... well he will lie.
