Over the last few months, I've been having very bad chest pain. It almost feels like a weight is on my chest and I have trouble breathing. It gets worse if I'm exerting myself, such as running or doing a lot of work around the house.

I have had two blood clots in my lung, but I've been scanned and have no clots at the moment so that's not the cause. The doctors also did a stress test and my heart was fine.

With my lungs and heart seeming alright, the doctor thought it might be anxiety and put me on Klonopin. However, it doesn't help and I never feel anxious when this pain happens. I've dealt with anxiety in the past and this feels different.

Right now, I'm basically stuck treating the pain (with Tramadol or Tylenol 3, depending on the severity of the wave) with no answer as to why it's happening. When a wave comes, I have to sit down and it can last up to 30 minutes (which makes working and social functions very difficult).

Has anyone else experienced something like this and, if so, what was it?

Yeah, I was anemic in the past and got regular iron infusions. But now my iron is fine and this chest pain is different. I just don't get it...

I hope by now you have been to the doctors or hospital undiagnosed chest pain should never be ignored or lived with, hope your o.k.

First I hope I am writing this as you have all ready been to see a Doctor or better yet Emergency. Reason is I had a similar experience but in different conditions.

The simple story was I got Crohn's diagnosis in January of 2014 from going to the ER on New Years Eve. The issue which relates to this was I had chest pain while straining on the loo. Now I mean straining unto vomiting while on the toilet. What happened after I thought I had a Heart Attack in the Hospital. They did all the tests and found me to be okay and after the pain meds were finished and on just the basic pain meds.

Now the fun started upon discharge when I went for a liquid Cat Scan. What happened was I was asked to stay since the technician found I had a Pneumothorax. Now the fun was that it did not resolve with the first chest tube. It took seven tubes and two surgeries to fix due to the Crohn's meds and pain meds interfering with each other the the two conditions.

So I can not say what it is, just need to go get a Chest X-Ray if you have not done so all ready. Also check for Gal Stones as well. Hope they have found the issue and that it has been resolved.
