Anyone else have a hard time with citrus foods. I've been drinking V-8 fusion and have been fine but the tangerine flavor seems to make my stomach overly active and I end up with nagging pain. Same thing with mandarin oranges. I'm hoping I've found the cause but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks.

I only have a problem with it if I eat a lot. In moderation it seems to be fine. We are all so different in what we can't eat with Crohn's.

Citrus is very acidic. I usually avoid it but my potassium was very low and it is a good source of the Potassium. I also have a Hiatus Hernia and have to be careful but I also take Nexium, which seems to help. Eating yogurt after or before helps.

In general, I can't cope with citrus fruit it upsets my stomach, and/or guts. An occasional bite of apple seems okay.

I tend to stay away from anything citrus. I do not believe that I can handle it well. For fruits I stick to bananas but do not usually finish a whole one. Dont worry I am not being wasteful my dog finishes the rest of it! For all other fruits I try to avoid them because I get bad pain and have bad days when I cheat with them.

Bananas seem to be fine for me along with most fruits. Just the true citrus fruits (oranges, tangerine, lemons, limes).

Orangejuice has always bothered me and also gives me heartburn........... As for lemons if I squeeze them on food, they seem to be OK. but I was told not to eat Citrus fruit, as they have lots of fiberous stuff which can irritate the intestines...

yeah citrus fruits are not good for me...once in awhile i'll indulge in some OJ with pulp taken out, but thats about it
