Well had my scope yesterday prep was a disaster ended up on oxygen and iv fluid no went extremely low!
Anyway gi said that everything was CLEAR I have been so ill for a month and on pres for best part of two weeks of that I'm at a loss.

He took a good few biopsies and blood tests and have to meet him in three weekshe asked for some symptoms and when I said I can often alternate between severe d to constipated he said oh well that would be more ibs. He said it didn't explain intermittent bleeding in my bm but that could be piles.
I know its still early but was so upset and felt like a hypocondriact all that pain vomiting and d for a month and it was clear.

Sorry but was very upset yesterday as feel maybe my family think that about me too! I spoke to a friend who has Crohn and he just jeeps sayin u have all the symptoms I have I don't understand!
Anyway there's my little rant :(

I'm sorry you didn't get any answers :(

Are they going to order any more tests on you? Just because the colonoscopy was clear, does not mean that there is nothing wrong. The scope can only get so far into the intestine. I would be persistent in trying to get answers. Crohn's is not an easy thing to get a diagnosis for. It took me the better part of 2 years to be diagnosed.

They took biopsies and blood tests that would be all. I suppose ill just have to wait until I meet him three weeks time.
I feel a bit brighter today I think because I've been so sick for almost a month I had convinced myself something had to show up!

Anyway I have started to feel better and have made a deal with myself that while I'm feeling well I am not going to focus on an illness and be positive in all other parts of my life x x

Danni25, I understand that it can be frustrating when these tests come up clear and you feel so bad. Most of the tests that I had were clear and unremarkable. My Colonoscopy was also perfectly normal. So was my biopsy. That did not stop me from going to the ER, which is were they did a MRI on my small bowel and found out that something was wrong. Chron's can occur anywere in the digestive tract. The small bowel is hard to get too. So, if you are suffering please don't give up. I can understand test burnout also. Sometimes you need to regroup and take a break.

Hi Danni,

I can understand your frustration :(

As mentioned above, a colonoscopy can only reach so high into the intestines. Don't accept an IBS diagnosis without the first taking a look there. Capsule endoscopy, small bowel follow through and other such tests can sneak a peak in there.

Good luck!

*hugs*
