Colonoscopy and Pill Cam

I doubt that most docs would perform a colonoscopy while the capsule camera was still in the gut. I suppose the doc could do the colonoscopy first and then have you swallow the capsule camera afterwards, but I don't know if or how often they actually do that. Usually docs like to get and interpret the results of one procedure before moving on to another.

I don't think you could do that at the same time. I know you could do a colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time. I had to schedule my pill cam another date after doing the colonoscopy and endoscopy that was after my doc wanted to get more info about my small intestine. I think it's better to do the colonoscopy first and see what they find then move on to the pill cam if it's necessary.
