So, I'm freaking out a bit! I thought with having a stoma I wouldn't have to have a colonoscopy ever again! Apparently I was wrong...

I start the prep tomorrow, and I think I'm dreading that the most. I just don't know what to expect! I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to keep up with the activity that's going to happen down there. I actually stopped eating today in the hopes that that will help with the purging (in the hopes that there won't be that much to purge!).

Any suggestions? Anyone else with a stoma have to have a scope? How did you deal with the prep?

I'm not worried about the procedure at all, afterall I'll be asleep for it...lol Just the prep...oh the horror!!! lol

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Oh no Cindy! I don't have any advice but I hope everything holds up during the purge! :eek2:

Good luck, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that all goes well.

Take care,

Just got back from my scope...and it went really well!! I have no active Crohn's, and the one spot that my doctor was concerned about seems to have cleared up! So, no meds for me, and an appointment in six months to discuss removing my stump. All in all, a really good day. Now I'm going to pig out and then have a nap...lol

Woohoo excellent news! That is fabulous Cindy.

How did the prep go?

So happy for you, :):):)

@Dusty...the prep wasn't that bad. I just doubled up on the laxatives on Saturday night and only did 1/4 of the Pico Silax. Much easier on the stomach and was very manageable with the stoma.

That's good to hear Cindy. I didn't have very good pictures in my mind!

Dusty. :)
