Hey guys! Hope you are all happy and well :)

Just a tricksy one here, I'm having 'Come and Go Crohns' at the minute? Now now, bear with me, I can hear you all shouting 'no such thing!' and usually I would join you. When you're ill, you're ill right?

Well, huh, no, not at the minute for me.

I'll be feeling okay (feeling tired, but who doesn't), and then all of a sudden, massive pain (usually where my stricture is, connected possibly?) in my tummy, have to run for the nearest toilet, and feel very woozy and sick?

Then, after going the toilet, after an hour or so, everythings back to tickety boo? Happens once a day, everyday for the past week or so.

Have rang my consultant, but I am on a 'waiting list for an appointment' :eek2: never heard of that before in my life! But anyhoo, no hope of any help from the hospital, same with GPs, last time I went in the doc said about my flare 'well what do you want me to do about it?' hmph.

Anybody any experience of this? Is it Crohns, or another tummy issue?

Cheers in advance :)

Have you been diagnosed with Crohns? What could be happening is you have swelling or a partial blockage that once everything gets passed it, it feels better. You will likely be sent for a CAT scan or MRI so they can see if there is a blockage

That doesn't sound unusual for Crohn's. You are sick, you're just not having constant symptoms.

Are you currently taking anything for Crohn's?

I have had that. I get a woozy feeing and will sometime break out in a cold sweat. I can feel the food drop down and then I run to the bathroom, have diarrhea, and a little while later I feel OK. That was my modes operandi until Remicade. God bless Remicade. *sob* Never believed I could feel this good again.

Hi guys, thank you for replying :)

Yes, I've been diagnosed with Crohns now for 13 years, and have tried nearly every drug, and am now on Humira as my last chance saloon. I recently had a bad flare which I was hospitalised for, and had a colonscopy afterwardswhich showed mild active disease still. Have been taking off prednisolone though as was having difficulties with my vision.

Sarahbear, I've never thought about it like that, thats interesting. I've always thought of it as ill or doing ok, maybe because we learn to not feel all that great :(

I've tried to get in contact with my consultant but he won't see me, I'm 'on the list' :(
