Concentrating and reading

Is it just me or do others have trouble when it comes to concentrating and reading.
As type this I'm getting tired and my vision goes blurry and get a bit of a headache this happens when I concentrate on reading or typing and trying to watch tv.

Its a bit annoying as I like reading books and searching the net but find I can't do it for longer than 5 mins does this happen to anyone else just wondering what it might be.

Might be a daft question, but when did you last have your eyes tested? I wear glasses, and I notice that when I'm due a new pair it's harder to focus when I'm tired, and it gives me headaches. Even if you don't think you need glasses it's worth getting your vision checked because they will look at the health of your eyes and rule out anything like inflammation.

Or it could just be a fatigue related symptom, fatigue is common in people with Crohn's, especially during flares.

eyes are ok had them checked not long ago.

you may be right about the fatigue as i don't sleep all that well and also trying to quit tremadol and endone

I have that too. Was one of my presenting symptoms thus my GI is sending me to ophthalmologist b/c of the eye complications associated with Crohns. :yrolleyes: -hugs-

hey i have being having blurry vision problems over the last month as well. I was putting it down to medication?? Am on a tapering dose of prednisolone and have just started remicade 2 weeks ago. But nearly everyday i get blurred pixel type vision. But I was just putting it down to side effects.

I have decent vision and do not need regular or daily glasses but due to eye complications from CD and Behcet's I do get what my eye dr call eye fatigue. I have to where a mild reading glasses when on the computer and sometimes when watching tv. He said that this is common with so many people using cellphones all the time. It might be worth looking into your meds to see if it might be a side effect. You know are wonderful meds cam cause all sorts of funky side effects!
