Constipation....and pain moved to a whole new area

Hello all, hope your doing well. Ive been relieved from the D, but now the Constipation is set in....its been about 4 days and Ive not gone at all....not even an urge to go. Strange, I went from severe d to complete constipation. Not sure what it is...but Im not even passing gas. And when I do pass gas, I have to push REALLY REALLY HARD. Im not sure what the deal is, but a bit concerning. Also, my CD pain has moved....from my right lower quadrant/flank to my left upper belly area. Not sure what to think....or whats going on. Im not in serious pain...just the annoying nagging sharp cramps from time to time. I see GI on Monday, but wonder if things are going to act up and if Im blocked again or something.....any ideas?? Thanks

It does sound like you may have a blockage from what I have read on here being that you haven't had a BM and can't pass gas. I would recommend calling your GI.

Hey Bev...even now that I am in a major flare I only go once a day. I know its not constipation but I dont think I am blocked cause I just had a colonoscopy on Tuesday. If you have an appt on Mon I would wait unless you get worse and are throwing up. Hope you feel better!!!

I went from constant diarrhea to horrible constipation. I've been experiencing the constipation for about two-three years now. It's awful. I miss the diarrhea! The bloating and the pain is absolutely awful. And don't get me started on the hemmorhoids. That's when they started getting really bad. Acidophilus kind of helps... a little.
