Hey, guys! So, here, you can talk about what fun things you like to do when things get rough (i.e. flares, stress, surgery, etc.).

Hummm
During flares I tend to do the usual Dr/med stuff, but at home my fiancie is sooo good to me
Get lots of magazines for bathroom
Buy extra TP
I have a favorite blanket that I wrap up in.
Sit near the bathroom
A little baby cream for the butt is always a good thing
Drink lots of water
Have what ever easy to digest foods on hand
A good book, for sofa time

Perfect timing for this post since my latest flare kicked in this morning. What did I do today.....I curled up in a ball with my dog and listened to tunes on my Iphone. Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Metric, and yes...Paramore. More of the same on tap for tomorrow. I hope my GI can fit me in for a Remicade infusion this week.

i tend to curl up in bed and watch my fave comedies which are my friends and only fools and horses box sets

i also tend to do a lot of graphic work on the laptop

I pray, read theology books, and when I'm not in too much pain I play guitar. When I listen to music it sometimes makes the pain worse rather than better but when I play I can just sing and play whatever comes to my mind so I can get rid of a lot of stress.

Like Pen, I watch comedies to lighten the mood and keep my mind off the more serious stuff.
I also enjoy a nice, hot bubble bath, getting a massage, reading, listening to music (and cranking it up pretty loud, too!)... I try to get a lot of sleep (which is sometimes a challenge when running to the BR every hour-and-a-half)... I keep a journal by the bed, as well, which is great for looking back on and figuring out what works and doesn't work for me.

PS - Gurglegurgle - I love Metric! I saw them last fall and am seeing them again this summer. Soooooo good!!

I love to watch funny movies too, and stand up comics on dvd. I like to laugh and try and raise my seratonin levels. I tell myself that accute pain never lasts. Sometimes I stick this on stickies in the toilet. I know that I will not live the rest of my life in accute pain. I do jigsaw puzzles as well. I like cuddling my duvet, sitting by the fire, reading books that are easy to read such as clive cussler. My favourite thing to do is paint my finger nails. I like to collect OPI colours. It's my treat as I only started growing my nails when I was 33.

When things are really really bad, it's amazing to me what I'll watch. When I'm only really bad, then comedies and crime shows on TV (thank goodness for TV). If I'm able to concentrate enough to read, then I stick with mysteries and thrillers.

I also have a few mixed playlists titled "Crohnsing Out" with music I can handle when I'm not feeling well.

But I'm with Joan, as well...curl up under my duvet and tell everyone to hike it out!

I'm not always so 'horrible!

I like to watch funny DVDs especially Lee Evans - PMSL at him!
I watched him live, and nearly had to be carted off in an ambulance with a coronary I laughed that much, I love him, I want to marry him!

i LOVE lee evans the guy is a comical genius , would love to see him live but tickets are so hard to get hold of

Im also a big fan of peter kay lol

Yes I love Peter Kay too, very funny man!
we went to see him doing his 'Mum wants a bungalow ' tour, PMSL (note to self, do some pelvic floor exercises Joan)
think I had a coronary that night too,

I also like to watch stand-up comedy and favorite TV shows. I'd love to see more live stand-up comedy but the local comedy club has a two-drink minimum. I don't drink any alcohol or soda anymore and I don't know if they'd let me order two waters...
