I am currently on Entocort. The last few days, I have been going to the bathroom a lot. I don't know if it is the disease of the side effects from the medicine. If it is the medicine, is there anyway to slow it down?

I get the runs for a couple days after my remicade, probably due to the pred that I take at the same time to reduce reactions. If it is indeed that, I am not sure what you can do at the moment other than trying to eat foods that bulk and slow you down (potato, rice, beef etc). Maybe cap it off with imodium as often as you can. I also add a touch of salt to my water to help absorption (not enough to even flavour it).

I have not had that problem with Entocort. I get a bad stomach ache, like I was punched in the stomach and the shakes.

I hope it stops soon for you !

I'm doing flagyl and Cipro right now as well as my cimzia and a tapering of prednisone.. I think the side effects from all this junk is worse right now.. haha. The flagyl and Cipro give me diarrhea and the prednisone makes my heart race occassionally. But I guess it's better then the terrible pain.. I'll just keep telling myself that.

The first time I was on Entocort, I recall having about 1-2 bad days per week (nausea, diarrhea, etc). When I finally came off of it, then I felt much better and was in remission. The path to remission is not always easy, it seems. I presume it was the Entocort causing those bad days at the same time it was healing my insides, but I don't know for sure or what the process was that was happening. Entocort also gave me cluster headaches which was not a fun time, but I was in remission for 2 years after coming off of Entocort so I feel like it was worth it.

I don't get a lot of headaches but I haven't noticed some lately.
