I'll try to keep this short. I am 50 years old and
had CROHNS for 28 years. 3 resections, every drug
known of etc. Had my last resections last year with
many complications. Now I have watery diarrhea 6-20
times a day, which I have to strain and push out. Not
to sound unladyike bit it feels like i'm pushing out razor
blades, and like there's a cauliflower down there, very
little if no blood but enough pain to make me cry.

Any ideas as to what's going on, CROHNS or something
else, see my gastro or PCP, any one else experiencing
this...been going on for months..have had diarrhea for at least
25 years. Since last resection no major issues but
this. Help if you can. Thanks...Kay

sounds a lot like an anal fissure to me. what do you mean by cauliflower down there? loose skin or something? could be an anal skin tag? the skin tags and diarrhea are both symptoms of crohn's, the fissure probably caused by having to strain and going so many times a day. Ive had all 3 before during flare up. i would definitely see your gastro if possible. good luck

What I mean about the cauliflower is that things hang out. They are not skin tags, I have had them for years. This is different. It is painful and hard to sit or walk. Next stop the gastrointerologist. Thank for the response!

KayJeff, I really would like to know what GI diagnosed or advised. I have 12 yr old with same type symptoms. Hope all is now resolved for you.

Grace had a prolapse also. Hers wasn't huge and scary "looking" but I was scare when I saw it.
Does the GI know about this?

Allison M and Farmwife, maybe I have overstated my granddaughters symptoms. I hope so. She has skin tags or protrusions from her rectal area and severe pain each time she goes to bathroom. Burning, stinging in rectal area and stomach pain. She is scheduled for Remicade infusion tomorrow. Hopefully this will provide her some relief. Her GI knows about this pain but never really addresses it, like it comes with the disease and you have to deal with it until the right medications are found. I'm sure you can tell I need guidance.

My daughter has had that kind of pain in the past. It went away as Remicade started helping. Have you tried sitz baths? They helped relieve the pain to some degree.

Have tried to encourage her soaking in warm water, but she refuses. Believes she will have BM if placed in that position. She uses water from showerhead to thoroughly cleanse area. What additive is in the sitz bath?
