Today I woke up with a rash on my arms and torso. I thought at first it was because I slept with a towel on my bed that I could have it because it was a bunch of dots. But they didn't go away. I ate breakfast which consisted of two bagels with peanut butter and coke so I could wake up for my 8 am class. When I get to class I had a terrible stomach ache. So after class I went to the health center instead of my English class and they said that it looked like it could be a drug rash. I have never gotten a rash from 6-mp before so I don't think it could possibly be the cause. What do you guys think? I have been fine ever since it was just this one occasion. My stool is the same. No pain anywhere else. The rash doesn't itch and is not bumpy. I am calling the doctor in a little bit but I just wanted to know if you all had any experience with this kind of thing.

Thanks

A rash can come from just about anything, so it is a process of elimination. My daughter got a rash from perfumed detergent, and only one brand. Fabric softener is another possibility. Nerves can also cause a rash. You can become sensitive to medication or most anything else over time.

No easy way to find the cause in my experience.

I always get rashes at the beginning of a flare. Its my marker that signifies that hell is on its way. That and mouth ulcers.

6 MP.. Isn't that related to Azathioprine/Imuran (Can anyone help me out here??)

Anyway, I got a rash from Imuran... small little raised red marks, kinda/sorta looked like chickenpox. Then, within 2 days... a lot of pain. I dunno if 6-MP & Azathioprine are closely enuff related to count, but I thought I'd pass along the info. Just in case.

Keep us posted...

I had a rash on legs/feet once. Was temporarily taken off Azathioprine. Identified it as vasculitis caused by Azathioprine hypersensitivity. Can be serious sometimes so you want to make sure you know what's going on.

See if you can get it checked out by a dermatologist. They'd be able to recognise it.

Yeah I have never had this sort of rash before. It's killing me right now. My doc said that if I have them tomorrow to not take 6mp that night.

Thanks for all the help.
