Hello Everyone, Im Jimmy and I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease at the age of 15 when I had to have Surgery for the blocked intestine. Went on meds after the operation felt good 3 years, then had to increase meds and adjust due to flare ups. At age 23 I had another stricture where it adheared to the abdomen wall, leading to ER visit/surgery. More removal, med adjustments. At age 25 the Dr recommended Remecaid Therapy which at that time was experimental/ trial.. Insurance covered only 20%.. After 3 or 4 treatments over maybe 2 months things inside felt better, you can just tell,or I can feel that good difference. It seemed great and I would say itwas in remission till 2011 when I developed a Fistula in the surgical scar of my second surgery.. That scar was origionally a temp drain incision that would close naturally after the interior section healed.Never had a bag or anything on my side. I now have this Fistula and have been laying in this hospital for over a week. I lost 20lbs,went on a Nutrition Protein IV bag and have been IV given Meds, Steroids,,anxiety meds, meds for nausea. 2 CT scans and at the moment the fistula is lraking draining still. I was on full liquid diet, things seemed alittle better. We just changed to soft/normal foods and the Fistula and other skin holes that developed are leaking alittle more. You probably have read alot of stories similar. But thats mine and I look foreard to looking over this forum to educate myself better. Right now surgery seems to not be their course of action, but I would prefer if they did. That way I know its fixed, ive been like this 2 yrs. No work, no money. Ive lost my family home this month cause I could not pay property taxes. So I now have health ins, but now homeless. Just want this fixed quickly an know its fixed. That way I can get my physical health back, get employment and now start my life completly over because I really have lost everything except clothes, paperwork and most loved family pictures. Im honestly looking for a trratment program for possible mental and medical rehab. Thx for your time. Jim
